Top SchoolRoman Khlebnov is a Senior Backend and Platform Engineer based in Madrid with 11 years of experience building high-load, resilient systems across finance and SaaS domains. He has repeatedly driven cloud and architecture transformations—migrating services to microservices, shifting infrastructure to Kubernetes, and moving data platforms to Google Cloud—resulting in measurable cost and delivery improvements. At Prodly and Five9 he led CI/CD and distributed data processing efforts that cut delivery time by >20% and improved runtime performance by similar margins while handling spikes of up to 10k events/sec. Comfortable in Java, SQL/NoSQL, Akka and modern DevOps toolchains like ArgoCD, he combines hands-on coding with pragmatic architectural decisions and cross-team mentorship. Roman’s work often focuses on operationalizing complex workflows into fault-tolerant pipelines, and he has a track record of originating algorithms and internal tools that tangibly raise team velocity. He holds a Master’s in Information Technology and brings a consistent, goal-focused approach to delivering high-quality software at scale.
