Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolRomuald Villetet is a senior software engineer and founder with nearly two decades of experience designing API-first, distributed and high-availability platforms across fintech, telecom, datacenters and media. He blends deep system design expertise—DDD, CQRS, event-driven and microservices—with hands-on implementation in Symfony/PHP, Python and Node.js, frequently owning architectural decisions and high-level designs. Colleagues rely on his ability to simplify complex problems and strike a pragmatic balance between speed and long-term quality, underpinned by a strong testing discipline. As owner of Ville-IT and through senior roles at Mollie, KPN and other Dutch tech firms, he’s delivered resilient systems in regulated and high-throughput environments. Romuald is passionate about knowledge sharing and sustainable engineering practices, and prefers fintech projects where his domain instincts add disproportionate value. Based in Gorinchem, he combines entrepreneurial ownership with a developer-first approach to architecture and delivery.
