Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolRuben Nic is a human-centric senior web engineer and team lead with 12 years building accessible, high-traffic documentation and web platforms. He currently leads full‑stack engineering at HashiCorp, having architected a documentation authoring and delivery API/ETL platform that serves millions of page views and a custom MDX-to-PDF pipeline. Previously he drove company-wide accessibility standards and shipped backwards-compatible fixes for hundreds of thousands of sites at Webflow, and helped deliver Shopify’s one-page checkout with an accessibility-first focus. Ruben blends hands-on engineering, developer experience, and accessibility research—often converting complex constraints into practical, automated solutions. Based in Pittsburgh, he pairs production-scale systems work with consulting experience and a knack for translating human cognitive limits into better software. An accessibility specialist by trade, he quietly champions measurable, scalable fixes rather than gimmicks.
