Senior🎓
Top SchoolRudra Sekhri is an astronomer, astrophysicist and full‑stack researcher based in Melbourne with eight years of experience building scientific tools, public outreach programs and community environmental systems. He develops programmatic pipelines for pulsar, neutron-star and FRB analysis (including audio synthesis and an online Pulsar Encyclopedia) in collaboration with OzGrav, Swinburne and CSIRO while also observing 21cm hydrogen emissions across Australian facilities. Beyond research, Rudra builds civic‑tech and environmental projects for local government—everything from GPS litter‑mapping and soil‑moisture sensors to a Robot Walking School Bus and wildlife‑safety citizen science. He founded The Astropods outreach initiative, authored two science and climate books, produces music and podcasts, and speaks regularly at schools, competitions and parliament. Comfortable spanning data pipelines, UI/UX and community engagement, he combines hands‑on coding and instrument data work with visible public advocacy. A less obvious strength is his knack for turning telescope data into accessible multimedia (audio, plots and web tools) that bridge research and public understanding.
