Senior🎓
Top SchoolRupert Rutland is an expert frontend engineer and pragmatic technical leader with over a decade of experience building resilient, accessible, and high-performance React systems across UK and European startups and scale-ups. Currently an Expert Frontend Engineer at Typeform, he drives cross-team architectural direction, vendor partnerships (including bespoke iPaaS work), and AI-augmented engineering practices that materially accelerate delivery. He combines deep frontend mastery (React, TypeScript, Next.js) with full-stack fluency in Node.js and Golang, ensuring integrations are reliable from API contract to production. Rupert is known for turning fragmented architectures into unified, testable platforms—having led migrations to monolith Next.js deployments and thin-client WebSocket architectures for real-time AI features. A hands-on mentor and advocate for TDD, CI/CD and developer experience, he routinely operates as the single technical owner between exec stakeholders and distributed delivery teams. Based in Barcelona, he blends product-minded engineering with a knack for orchestration and technical governance that scales whole organisations, not just codebases.
