Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolRyan Garthwaite is a pragmatic software engineer with a decade of experience building and maintaining production systems across cloud and embedded domains. Currently at Microsoft after a year at Prezzee, he has deep hands-on experience migrating and scripting Azure environments and delivering secure features like SAML for Lighthouse-style products. At Opengear he moved from feature development to level-3 maintenance, shrinking backlog by resolving tricky issues such as memory leaks, AAA integration faults and hardware diagnostics. Earlier work includes building an ETL framework with Spark/Kafka/Hadoop and tooling that combined .NET and React, showing fluency across backend, integration and testing stacks. Based in Queensland, Ryan combines rigorous engineering from his BE in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a bias for operational reliability and pragmatic automation. He tends to gravitate toward roles where shipping durable systems and reducing customer-impacting incidents matter most.
