Top SchoolSahil Chinoy is a postdoctoral associate and lecturer based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with 11 years of professional experience at the intersection of academia, data visualization, and economics. He holds a PhD in Economics from Harvard and a BA with highest distinction in Economics and Physics from UC Berkeley, blending rigorous quantitative training with storytelling skills. His background includes a stint as Graphics Editor at The New York Times, where he translated complex data into clear visual narratives for broad audiences. Now at Yale, he teaches and conducts research that likely combines empirical economic methods with communicative presentation—bridging technical analysis and public-facing explanations. Colleagues value his ability to move between deep theoretical work and accessible communication, a skill honed in both top-tier journalism and academic environments. Outside the obvious credentials, his career reflects a rare mix of high-level economic research and hands-on data visualization expertise.
