Senior🎓
Top SchoolSam Gluck is a Staff Engineer based in England with over a decade of experience building scalable web and cloud-native systems, currently leading engineering efforts at Penfold. He combines deep JavaScript and React expertise with strong backend and infrastructure skills—migration of services to AWS Lambda/ALB/CloudFront, building high-throughput Lambda+SQS processing, and creating CI/CD with GitHub Actions and Terraform. Sam has shipped mission-critical FinTech systems (including an automated payments processor that handled millions in transactions) while improving developer productivity with tooling and a tenfold faster dev console startup. A former co-owner and tech lead at a worker-owned co-op, he brings product-focused engineering, mentoring experience, and a knack for developer experience and documentation (creator of a company engineering handbook). He’s comfortable across full-stack, Go, Node, and serverless patterns, and quietly excels at translating operational needs into robust, maintainable systems.
