Top SchoolSam Vervaeck is an R&D researcher and engineering polyglot with 12 years of hands-on experience bridging embedded system design, compilers, and accelerator research. Currently at Keysight Technologies, he leverages a background in RISC-V AI and FHE acceleration and is now exploring DSP acceleration and SoC integration work proven during an FPGA-based Ibex/Zephyr project. A leader who thrives in collaborative settings, Sam has repeatedly organized large student training programs and translated that soft-skills focus into practical mentoring and project coordination. He combines strong academic credentials (cum laude degrees from KU Leuven and enCRYPTON summer school exposure) with deep curiosity about programming language design and type systems, making him equally at home prototyping hardware-aware compilers or refining developer-facing tools.
