Top SchoolSam Willis is a Senior Frontend Engineer based in Nottingham with over a decade of experience delivering enterprise-scale web applications and design systems. He specialises in modern frontend stacks—Vue 3/Nuxt 3, Angular, TypeScript and Tailwind—and has led large migrations, reusable component libraries and design token implementations consumed across multiple teams. Sam pairs strong UX sensibilities and Figma-driven design systems with pragmatic engineering, having introduced Storybook, Style Dictionary tokens, and feature flagging practices to improve consistency and release velocity. He’s proven at driving team culture and craft: establishing Communities of Practice, mentoring engineers, and running learning sessions to raise frontend standards. Notably, he has engineered white-labelling via CSS variables and automated localisation strategies, blending technical architecture with product-facing polish. Outside of code, his background in digital and graphic design informs a creative approach to problem solving and visual consistency.
