Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolSamuel Gendler is a founder and Principal Software Engineer with nine years of recent experience and a multi-decade track record building high-performance, cloud-native distributed systems from blank slate to production. He combines hands-on systems design (Go, Python, C/C++, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code expertise (terraform/terragrunt) with executive-level leadership, having driven architecture, security, and cost reductions across startups and Fortune-class clients. Samuel repeatedly delivers large-scale wins—designing low-latency streaming and time-series pipelines, creating schema-aware Kafka clients that preserved ordering while cutting ops complexity, and directly reducing cloud spend by millions. He focuses on empowering engineering organizations through automation, frameworks, and standards, and has led org-wide migrations to GitHub, CI/CD, and security best practices. A fast.ai participant and prolific contributor to Google’s terraform module library, he blends deep systems craftsmanship with an appetite for applied ML and data-driven product work.
