Top SchoolSara Batterby is a founder and CEO with 13 years of experience designing capital strategies and teaching fundraising for early-stage startups, specializing in Seed to Series A. As founder of The Equity Capital Collective she created a financially sophisticated, emotionally intelligent fundraising methodology and runs a global masterclass to expand access to capital for women, people of color, LGBTQIA founders and other historically excluded entrepreneurs. Her background spans entrepreneurship, venture investing and corporate finance, including founding cannabis and fintech ventures and a track record of building mission-driven marketplaces and funds. Based in Portland, she pairs practical dealcraft and LP-facing fundraising know-how with an uncommon focus on the internal barriers—confidence and worthiness—that prevent founders from leading successful raises.
