Top SchoolSarfaraz Ahmad is a Senior Linux and infrastructure engineer with around a decade of experience building and maintaining resilient platform services for trading and finance firms. He combines deep Linux administration, config-management (Puppet, Foreman, cloud-init), and monitoring expertise (Prometheus, Icinga2, Grafana) with practical SRE skills gained at Optiver and D. E. Shaw. Comfortable scripting in Python and Bash, he routinely glues complex systems together and has hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), KVM/libvirt, and image-based provisioning. His background also includes core network and security tooling—DNS/DHCP/NTPL, ELK for SIEM, Squid SSL interception and CCNA-level networking—making him effective at both operations and incident debugging. Based in Amsterdam, he’s an open-source-minded practitioner who favors pragmatic automation and observable, auditable infrastructure over one-off fixes.
