Senior🎓
Top SchoolSasan Tavakkol is a Staff Software Engineer at Google Research and founder of Celeria Labs, combining nine years of industrial AI engineering with a PhD in Computational Hydrodynamics. He co-leads Google’s Contextual Sampling team and low-latency GraphRAG efforts, applying graph-based inference and data-efficient techniques to frontier foundation models. Earlier work spans tech leadership on scalable mapping and 4D timeline reconstruction, and he shipped performance-critical systems from GPU-accelerated wave simulators to real-time product launches. His open-source Celeris simulator democratized high-performance coastal modeling by running Boussinesq wave physics on GPUs and is used by thousands worldwide—a practical bridge between academic CFD and production software. Based in Irvine, CA, he blends deep domain science in fluid dynamics and GPGPU with hands-on systems design for large-scale AI infrastructure.
