Senior🎓
Top SchoolSashank Kakaraparty is a Machine Learning Engineer III specializing in generative AI and computer vision with nine years of hands-on experience building production ML systems for enterprises and government. He blends strong C and Python programming skills with practical hardware prototyping using Arduino and Raspberry Pi, enabling end-to-end image/video solutions that span sensors to deployed models. Currently at Walmart Global Tech after roles at Fairfax County, Yahoo, and Tata Consultancy Services, he has owned full ML pipelines from data collection and preprocessing to model deployment for IoT and B2C use cases. As a former graduate teaching assistant at George Mason University, he pairs industry delivery with teaching experience in ML, AI, and PyTorch foundations. He’s driven by continuous improvement—“trying to be a better programmer than the last line of code”—and brings a rare combination of embedded systems intuition and deep learning expertise to bridge edge devices and cloud-scale vision applications.
