Top SchoolScott Atkins is a seasoned software development engineer with 13 years of experience building and deploying mobile and embedded software at scale, currently driving features for Fire TV and Amazon Relay at Amazon. His background spans iOS and Android app development for consumer platforms like SmartThings and Garmin, plus earlier work in gameplay C++ and printer testing at Microsoft, giving him a rare blend of product-facing mobile expertise and low-level systems experience. He has shipped software that runs on millions of devices and is comfortable across native mobile stacks, J2ME-era constraints, and large-scale consumer hardware. Based in Hugo, Minnesota, Scott pairs a disciplined engineering approach with an active lifestyle—aptly summarized by his GitHub motto "eat, run, code!"—which informs his pragmatic, performance-minded development style.
