Summary
👤
SeniorSebastian Chlan is a pragmatic software engineer with 14 years of experience, focused on Android and library development and currently working on observability at Stripe. He brings strong taste for clean, testable code and a history of building mobile SDKs, custom Gradle tooling, and cross-stack features spanning Scala, Elixir, React/Redux and backend systems. His resume includes security frameworks at Stripe, product work on Messenger and Billing at Intercom, and shipping mobile SDKs at Zendesk, showing an ability to move between platform-level concerns and product teams. Based in Ennis, Ireland, he pairs production engineering with curiosity about DevOps and low-level tooling, and even undertook a self-supported 2,600-mile Pacific Crest Trail thru-hike, reflecting endurance and self-reliance that carry into long-running engineering projects.
