Top SchoolSebastián Monía is a Principal-level engineering leader specializing in data ingestion and integration, currently driving platform work for SimCorp in the New York City metro. With two decades of hands-on experience across retail, insurance, telecom, healthcare and streaming, he is a true programming polyglot (Python, C#, Go, JS, Java, SQL) who moves comfortably between languages and architectures. A Certified Scrum Master, he combines deep technical delivery with agile coaching, having led teams using both Scrum and Kanban at companies from Cognizant to Paramount+ and Starz. Based in Secaucus, NJ and originally from Argentina, he brings an international perspective and a proven record of shipping scalable systems in large enterprise environments. Outside work he’s an Emacser and Lisper who enjoys animation, video games and trivia—an indication of his curiosity and taste for elegant, sometimes playful, solutions. Practical, adaptable and team-focused, he’s known for quickly learning new frameworks and turning complex ingestion challenges into reliable production pipelines.
