Top SchoolSebastian Van Hesteren is a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer based in Breda with eight years of experience building Ruby on Rails and JavaScript/TypeScript applications backed by PostgreSQL. He currently helps shape product and architecture at Cheddar after senior full-stack roles at GoCXL and FeedbackFruits, consistently delivering user-facing features and backend services. His background is unusual for an engineer: a prior decade of work as an FX and pipeline TD in VFX and film production honed his scripting, tooling and Linux pipeline skills and gives him a strong systems-and-automation mindset. Comfortable across the stack, he pairs pragmatic engineering with a designer’s eye for detail from his animation and VFX training. He’s known for translating complex domain requirements into maintainable code and developer tooling that speeds team delivery.
