SeniorSebastien Eckersley-Maslin is a founder and CEO with 10+ years of hands-on startup leadership who now leads Phyllome to apply robotics, genetics and AI to create predictable, sustainable food systems. He began his career as a weapons electronics engineer in the Royal Australian Navy, including an operational deployment to Iraq and architecting combat systems for the Air Warfare Destroyer project, bringing rare systems engineering discipline to agri-tech. As founder of BlueChilli he helped launch over 150 ventures and co-founded SheStarts to support women entrepreneurs, and his track record includes multiple exits and industry awards such as EY Entrepreneur of the Year and a patented UAV recovery technology. A blend of military-grade engineering, deep electronics and control systems expertise from UNSW, and recent executive education at Harvard Business School informs his product-led, founder-focused approach to scaling mission-driven technology.
