Top SchoolSergei Izrailev is a hands-on data science and engineering leader with over two decades of experience building scalable ML, AI, and analytics infrastructure across digital advertising, quantitative finance, and chemo-/bioinformatics. Currently Head of Data Science & Analytics in New York, he has repeatedly translated research-grade algorithms into production systems that drove measurable business impact—examples include dynamic pricing and bidding that increased revenue by 5–15% and automated inventory curation that improved CTR and viewability. He combines deep technical fluency (PhD-level physics, CS master’s, extensive parallel computing and database design) with proven people and product leadership, having grown teams from single digits to 30+ and defined MLOps and deployment best practices. Since mid-2023 he’s been an early explorer of generative AI and multimodal systems, prototyping RAG, vector search, and agent-based architectures with leading LLMs. Less obvious: his career bridges high-frequency trading research and molecular informatics, giving him rare cross-domain fluency for extracting signal from noisy, high-throughput datasets. Colleagues describe him as equally comfortable and effective coding, architecting, mentoring, and aligning cross-functional strategy.
