Top SchoolShahryar Soltanpour is a Senior Software Engineer with nine years of experience building and operating large-scale, high-availability systems for tens of millions of users. He has led end-to-end product delivery—from founding EduArena.ai and scaling it to 500K+ users in five months to maintaining 99.99% availability as an infrastructure lead—combining backend, ML, and devops skills across Python, Go, Kotlin, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes and Kafka. Shahryar excels at turning research into production: his university work delivered a language-detection system that was both faster and more accurate than baselines, and he contributed WAL parsing and WAL infrastructure improvements to the Pgmoneta project as a GSoC mentor. A pragmatic leader and mentor, he has built and managed engineering teams, established code review and hiring practices, and been recognized as Top Tech Lead at Turing. Based in Calgary, he brings a rare blend of hands-on systems engineering, ML productization, and open-source craftsmanship.
