Top SchoolShailesh Gothi is a Principal Engineer based in Sunnyvale with 11 years of experience designing and operating cloud-native, highly available systems for enterprises. He has driven platform-scale projects at Broadcom and VMware—doubling host lifecycle capacity and boosting upgrade parallelism—while pioneering event-driven core services and a desired-state automation model that improved observability and reliability. His background spans cloud platform architecture, IaC, microservices, container orchestration, and CI/CD, with hands-on delivery in languages and tools from Java and Go to Kafka and Flink. At AWS he contributed to the GA launch of Bottlerocket and built tooling for automated OS updates in ECS, reflecting a blend of open-source and product-grade engineering. He pairs deep technical leadership with a focus on developer experience, instituting automated controls and best-practice guidelines that raise code quality across teams. Outside product work he has published research on genomics–EHR integration, showing an uncommon intersection of clinical informatics and large-scale cloud engineering.
