Top SchoolShameer C is a Director of Engineering based in Dubai with 14–16 years of experience turning backend engineering into measurable business outcomes across mobility and delivery platforms. At Careem he has progressed from building the food delivery stack to leading server-side teams that power rides, corporate offerings, and multi-vertical order management for food, groceries and more. He blends hands-on full‑stack roots (PHP, Scala, Node, distributed systems) with product-driven leadership—partnering closely with TPMs and business teams to prioritize high-impact initiatives. Known for scaling teams rapidly during crisis periods and shipping core platform capabilities used across 13 countries and 100+ cities, he balances operational rigor with rapid iteration. He also writes for SitePoint, signaling a habit of sharing knowledge beyond day-to-day engineering. Colleagues would describe him as a pragmatic builder who converts complex operational problems into reliable, customer-facing services.
