Top SchoolShane Rainville is a Staff Cloud Engineer with 11 years of infrastructure and DevOps experience, currently leading cloud-native platform engineering at Scotiabank from Mississauga, Ontario. He designs and operates multi-tenant GKE-based Kubernetes platforms, GitOps workflows, and Anthos/Kustomize configuration tooling that balance scalability, security, and compliance for large enterprise workloads. Known for driving automation and cost reduction, he has migrated monolithic Java applications to containers and cut deployment times dramatically through CI/CD and pipeline automation. Shane builds custom platform services for streaming events and enhanced logging, and he introduced initial container security standards across the bank’s GKE footprint. Hands-on in Go, Python, Ruby and shell, he pairs deep engineering craft with team mentorship and organized continuous-learning initiatives. An early advocate of infrastructure-as-code and enterprise automation, he brings an operator’s eye to architecture and production resilience.
