RockstarShankar Pentyala is a Principal Site Reliability Engineer with 9 years of experience building and automating cloud-native platforms for AI/ML and SaaS workloads across AWS, Azure, and IBM Cloud. He has led platform automation for watsonx.ai, managing global LLM inference clusters with NVIDIA GPUs (H200, H100, A100, L40) to deliver high-performance, secure multi-region deployments. Proficient in OpenShift, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD automation, he has a track record of automating end-to-end provisioning from networking to application rollout. Shankar moved from hands-on platform engineering and customer-facing support at IBM to SRE leadership at Palo Alto Networks, bringing deep operational troubleshooting skills and product onboarding experience. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, he combines an engineer’s focus on resilience with a curiosity for GenAI and continuous learning. An early background in enterprise billing systems and teaching reveals a practical, user-focused approach to complex infrastructure problems.
