Senior🎓
Top SchoolSharad Pratap is a seasoned embedded and systems software engineer with 14 years of experience building and maintaining Linux/Unix-based infrastructure and kernel-adjacent components. At Fortinet and prior firms he has driven embedded software and system administration work—configuring and compiling kernels, managing security and OS installations, and automating complex workflows. He combines strong algorithm and data structure foundations with hands‑on expertise in shell/perl/python scripting, build/source control (Perforce/Subversion/CVS), and server tooling like Apache, NIS/NFS, LDAP and MySQL. Comfortable in command-line environments, he routinely tackles process communication, syscall-level issues and device driver modules while also administering large-scale developer tooling for hundreds of users. Known for analytical problem solving, he has repeatedly delivered reliable automation and integration across CI/regression systems and SCM infrastructures. Based in India and educated at NIT Calicut, he brings deep low-level Linux skill and practical production experience that often surfaces in behind-the-scenes infrastructure improvements.
