Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolShaun Livingston is a versatile software engineer and engineering leader with over a decade of experience building full-stack systems and shipping backend-first products. He’s led teams and personally contributed large codebases—from a Rails TMS handling $8M/month in freight to analytics and Django apps—demonstrating a hands-on leadership style that balances architecture, delivery, and coding. Recently focused on applied AI, Shaun has built multimodal LLM prototypes combining text and images and practical RAG pipelines for pre-construction pricing. Comfortable selecting and owning tech stacks end-to-end, he has driven product launches at startups and mid-stage companies while scaling teams and operations. Based in San Francisco with international ties to Singapore, he blends logistics domain expertise with emerging AI skills to turn ambiguous problems into production-ready systems. Colleagues describe him as the sort of engineer who can both sketch strategy and ship the first working feature the same week.
