Summary
🤩
RockstarShawn White is a technical advisor and seasoned engineering leader with 11+ years shaping game engines, tools, and developer workflows across Unity, Guerrilla, and PlayStation Studios. He moves fluidly between hands-on graphics and shader work and high-level org-building—having shipped editor and core engine features, led global DevOps and production engineering teams, and recently guided Decima tools as Technical Director. Known for enabling talented teams to do "wonderful things," he combines deep C++ engine expertise with practical experience scaling developer platforms and cross-timezone collaboration. Based in Amsterdam with roots in Portugal, he returned to making games after a decade focused on engine infrastructure, bringing both creator empathy and platform-level rigor. Skilled at translating artists' needs into tooling and shipping bleeding-edge tech to production, he is equally comfortable in shader code and executive strategy.
