Top SchoolShreya Bhandare is a software engineer with a decade of experience specializing in system and network software for AI and HPC environments, currently building the Azure Storage Stream layer at Microsoft. She has deep hands-on expertise in GPU networking, RDMA/RoCE, InfiniBand, NCCL, and hardware-software co-design from roles at Oracle, Meta, AMD Pensando and research labs. Her work spans production device and link lifecycle management, NCCL plugin development and benchmarking, and packet-level simulation of AI cluster communication—skills that bridge low-level firmware, networking control planes, and large-scale AI training infrastructure. Based in Mountain View, she pairs academic rigor from Virginia Tech with practical engineering delivered across hyperscale and networking platforms, and has a track record of adding RDMA support to virtualization and translating compiler IRs for systems research. What sets her apart is a rare combination of systems research pedigree and production networking experience that directly optimizes GPU collective performance in real-world AI clusters.
