Top SchoolSijia Zhao is a cognitive neuroscience postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oxford with 11 years of research experience investigating motivation, fatigue, hearing and attention using pupillometry and EEG. Trained in neuroscience and computer science (BSc Neuroscience, MSc Computer Science, PhD from UCL), she combines rigorous experimental design with practical online experimentation—many of her task codes are shared on Pavlovia. Her work sits at the intersection of basic cognition and applied measurement, translating physiological signals into insights about motivation and perceptual processing. Having held prior postdoc and research roles at UCL and a research internship at the BBC, she brings both academic depth and experience in public-facing research settings.
