Senior🎓
Top SchoolSimon Dunford is a seasoned Network Engineer with over 30 years of hands-on experience and nine years in his current role at BT, bringing deep expertise in Cisco switching and Check Point firewalls across campus and multi-site environments. He has led large-scale network consolidations and standardisation projects—such as unifying DNS/WINS and centralised device management—while delivering third-line support and implementations for enterprise and public-sector clients. Comfortable across support, implementation and change lifecycles, he has managed networks spanning multi-building campuses, dozens of remote sites and hundreds of access links. A lifelong builder who’s been programming and tinkering with gadgets since 1983, he blends practical hardware know-how with network security discipline. Based in Folkestone and Hythe, England, Simon is a pragmatic problem-solver who favors durable, auditable solutions over flash, and often brings decades-old institutional knowledge to bear on modern infrastructure challenges.
