👤
SeniorSimon O'Doherty is a Senior Technical Architect with 9 years focused on AI systems and conversational platforms, currently leading AI transformation work in IBM’s Expert Labs from Letterkenny, Ireland. He has a deep practical background across Watson and IBM AI Lab engagements, helping governments and enterprises implement AI roadmaps, establish standards, and drive cultural and process change beyond purely technical delivery. His earlier career spans hands-on development, localization, and support across Lotus/Notes and J2EE products, giving him rare end-to-end insight from low-level engineering to high-level advisory roles. An IBM Master Inventor and frequent traveler-for-delivery in prior roles, he combines invention, operational rigor, and a user-centric approach to make AI feel more human in real-world workflows. Unusually, his profile reflects decades of continuity within IBM, which underscores strong institutional knowledge and a talent for translating legacy systems into modern AI solutions.
