Top SchoolSimon Wicky is a research engineer specializing in privacy and security, currently advancing anonymous networking research at Nym Technologies after completing a master's in computer science at EPFL. With seven years of experience, he blends rigorous academic training and hands-on engineering to design and evaluate privacy-preserving systems. His work bridges protocol research and practical implementations, informed by an active GitHub presence that complements his research output. Based in Bulle, Switzerland, he brings a pragmatic focus on measurable security properties and deployable solutions rather than purely theoretical constructs. A detail not obvious from his title: he transitioned smoothly from a master’s thesis project into a research role at the same company, highlighting a strong alignment between his academic work and industry impact.
