Senior🎓
Top SchoolSimone Meloni is a Senior Data Scientist with 11 years of experience bridging particle physics and applied data science, currently modeling risk at Prima in Milan. Trained with top honours in elementary particle physics, he spent his PhD analysing precision LHCb data at CERN and serves as liaison for the experiment’s Statistics Working Group. He brings a strong computational mindset—contributing backend fixes to the widely used CMS Offline Software (cmssw)—and a track record of applying deep learning and reinforcement learning to event reconstruction. Meticulous and persistent by nature, he thrives on problems that push his technical skills and reward learning. His background combines rigorous statistical thinking, production-ready software development, and hands-on experience with high-stakes experimental data.
