Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolSimone Sturniolo is a Senior Software Engineer and computational scientist with 13 years of experience building scientific software, visualization tools, and web interfaces. He blends deep domain knowledge from a PhD in Physics with practical engineering skills in Python and JavaScript, and familiarity with Fortran and C-family languages. At Rutherford Appleton Laboratory he supported ab-initio CASTEP users and developed Python tooling and HTML5/JS GUIs, and now applies that expertise to product engineering at CoMind. His background in experimental NMR and materials engineering gives him a strong intuition for data-driven analysis pipelines and simulation-driven feature design. Outside work he explores web design and game development (Unity, Godot), reflecting a broad curiosity for interactive systems. Based in Stony Stratford, UK, he is comfortable translating complex research workflows into usable, production-grade software.
