Top SchoolSofia Arvela is a Senior Site Reliability Engineer based in Lisbon with 11 years of experience designing and operating cloud-native infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes at scale. She has repeatedly helped engineering organizations—from startups to enterprise teams—standardize tooling and best practices for GitOps, Terraform, ArgoCD, and multi-team CI platforms. At Onfido she scaled AWS and Kubernetes to support 100+ microservices and enabled 200 developers with resilient pipelines, and more recently built platform building blocks for PagerDuty’s developer workflows. Known for blending deep systems knowledge (OS, networking, observability) with pragmatic automation, she focuses on developer experience as a lever for reliability. Her background in machine learning research and early systems administration gives her an uncommon mix of theory and hands-on ops.
