Senior🎓
Top SchoolSong Huang is an astrophysicist and assistant professor at Tsinghua University with 11 years of research experience studying the formation and assembly histories of massive galaxies. Trained at Nanjing University and seasoned by postdoctoral positions at Kavli-IPMU, UC Santa Cruz, and Princeton, he specializes in deep imaging and spectral analysis, weak lensing, and galaxy–halo connections using large surveys such as the Hyper Suprime-Cam. He combines careful data-quality testing with expertise in structural and stellar-population diagnostics to decode how ostensibly “quiescent” massive galaxies evolved. Based in Beijing and fluent in both Chinese and international collaborations, he brings a cross-cultural, survey-driven perspective that connects detailed galaxy physics to cosmological contexts.
