Summary
👤
SeniorSoo Moon is a Member of Design Staff at OpenAI with nine years of cross-disciplinary experience bridging product design and software engineering in B2B SaaS. Trained in Human Centered Design & Engineering (MS, UW) with dual BS degrees in Computer Science and Psychology, Soo blends rigorous technical fluency from engineering roles at Microsoft with research-led, inclusive product design practiced at Statsig, InfluxData, and academic settings. Their work centers on accessibility, sociomateriality, and critical approaches to queer and disability studies, bringing an intentionally intersectional lens to product strategy and feature design. Known for translating theory into usable systems, Soo pairs sharp critical inquiry with hands-on design craft to create more equitable digital experiences. Based in Seattle, they remain active in community and scholarship on disability justice and queer theory, often surfacing less-obvious constraints and opportunities that mainstream design overlooks.
