Top SchoolSorin-sebastian Mircea is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Apple with 11 years of software engineering experience spanning Google, Bloomberg and startups, and a strong full-stack and iOS background. He has shipped large-scale, user-facing features—such as an emoji feature rolled out to 400 million Gmail iOS users—and built backend platforms for live shopping, IoT data ingestion, and real-time analytics. Comfortable across mobile, web, cloud and ML pipelines, he blends hands-on engineering with product focus to deliver scalable solutions and improve developer workflows. Educated at EPFL (MSc Data Science) and Babeș-Bolyai (BSc Computer Science), he pairs rigorous academic training with practical production experience. Notably, he has repeatedly bridged research and production—moving language-model training pipelines and Airflow orchestration into production contexts during Apple internships.
