Summary
👤
SeniorSoroush Norouzi is a Senior Software Engineer based in Vancouver with 11 years of professional experience and over 20 years coding across embedded, backend and mobile systems. He specializes in Android and cross-platform mobile engineering, having designed and led Kotlin Multiplatform architectures that achieve 80%+ shared business logic between Android and iOS. Soroush has a strong track record modernizing legacy platforms, shipping high-scale apps (50k+ downloads and contributions at Postmates) and stabilizing complex BLE device workflows with robust retry, queueing and observability tooling. Comfortable across the stack, he blends mobile UI (Jetpack, Compose) and systems thinking with full-stack backend and hardware experience from earlier R&D and firmware projects. He mentors teams, drives architecture and CI/CD improvements, and often plays the de facto tech lead on mobile initiatives. Outside product work he’s a self-described “hacker” and code lover with a mechatronics graduate background that informs pragmatic engineering trade-offs.
