Spencer Merritt
Senior Software Developer at Rogue Dev
Salt Lake City, Utah, United States
Summary
👤
SeniorSpencer Merritt is a Senior Software Developer with 11 years of experience building highly customized WordPress sites and web applications from Salt Lake City. He architects projects around a proprietary starter theme that combines PHP 8 with Laravel’s Blade, Vue.js for realtime interactivity, and UIKit for modern responsive UIs, and he’s built a custom CLI to scaffold sites, components, and layouts on the fly. As owner of Rogue Dev and senior developer at agencies like Firetoss and Max Connect Marketing, he blends hands-on implementation with team-building, mentoring, and process optimization. Comfortable across Laravel, Statamic, Strapi, Firebase, Sass, git, and Webpack, he favors pragmatic tooling and continuous learning. He’s motivated by tackling seemingly impossible problems and keeps a lean, product-focused approach informed by a freelancer’s breadth and an agency leader’s delivery discipline.
