Top SchoolSreenath Somarajapuram is a Senior Staff Engineer at Cloudera with over 15 years in software engineering and a deep focus on web-first full-stack development for big data user experiences. He leads the HUE team, blending front-end expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, Vue, React and build tooling with backend work in Python and Java to make Hadoop tooling accessible and usable. A long-time Apache contributor and PMC for Tez and Hadoop-related projects, he has designed and implemented many of the UI visualizations that shaped Tez’s UX. His background spans game engineering at Zynga, core Hadoop R&D at Hortonworks, and early entrepreneurial work building scalable education software for Indian clients, showing both product instinct and systems depth. Based in California, he combines hands-on implementation with open-source stewardship, often acting as the bridge between UX design and distributed systems internals. An uncommon strength is his ability to translate complex data-processing workflows into intuitive web interfaces that scale for enterprise users.
