Top SchoolStacey Ell is a seasoned software engineer with 18 years of experience, currently serving as an engineering technical lead on an appliance team at Cisco that delivers enterprise-grade, on-premise solutions similar to GitHub Enterprise. Her background spans full-stack development with a strong tilt toward backend systems, honed through roles at Browzoo and remote consulting engagements that emphasized maintainability and rapid feature delivery. Based in Calgary, she combines hands-on implementation with team leadership, guiding cross-functional workstreams to production in complex enterprise environments. Stacey’s career shows a steady focus on reliable, maintainable systems for business-critical tooling rather than consumer-facing products, and she prefers opportunities outside FAANG employers.
