Top SchoolStanislav Kurs is a Senior Backend Engineer with 11+ years in web development and six years focused on eCommerce, specializing in Magento (1 & 2) and Shopware implementations. He blends hands-on backend development, AWS infrastructure design (Terraform, Ansible), and CI/CD to deliver measurable business outcomes like improved conversion rates, lower cloud costs, and faster sites. As a former team lead and project manager, he has led teams up to six, owning technical decisions, risk assessment, and end-to-end migrations including a successful Magento 2 + PWA rollout. Known for meticulous attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership, he brings “non-indifference” to project destiny—pushing beyond code to UX, monitoring, and deployment stability. Comfortable in Kanban and iterative environments, he pairs deep eCommerce process knowledge with practical integrations (payments, CRM, PIM) to solve complex platform problems. Based in Port Moody, BC, he also channels teamwork from 15+ years in team sports into collaborative, high-pressure delivery.
