Top SchoolŠtěpán Tomsa is a pragmatic Python engineer with 12 years of experience building and maintaining web and backend systems, now focused on telemetry and cloud-integrated tooling. He has strong roots in PHP and Ruby on Rails, and has repeatedly designed application models and shipped production services from scratch as well as extended complex legacy codebases. At Red Hat he led architecture and product ownership for data-collection clients connecting RHEL to the cloud, contributing across Python, Go and Ansible ecosystems and mentoring junior engineers. Comfortable across full stack concerns—databases (Postgres/MySQL), frontend HTML/CSS/JS and Kubernetes/OpenShift deployments—he blends implementation detail with system-level thinking. He also contributes to open-source projects and brings a practical, hands-on approach honed by years of maintaining critical enterprise software. Based in Frýdek-Místek, Czechia, he combines solid engineering discipline with a curiosity for language variety, keeping Ruby as a productive secondary toolkit.
