Top SchoolStephen Finney is a Financial Advisor with 14 years of experience who blends technical rigor from a computer science background with empathetic coaching to help families and businesses make clear, confident financial decisions. Based in Greater Macon, he advises clients through Northwestern Mutual while previously scaling his own Finney Financial Coaching practice, where he transformed couples’ money dynamics with practical systems and communication work. He began his career as a web application developer and moved into leadership roles—scrum master, project manager, and director of culture—bringing a rare mix of software delivery discipline, operations, and people-first leadership to financial planning. Comfortable translating complex technical and financial concepts into actionable plans, he leverages past experience with PHP/Laravel, CI/CD, and agile practices to create repeatable, measurable client outcomes. Stephen’s profile is anchored by a B.S. in Computer Science (3.7 GPA) and formal training in financial coaching, reflecting both analytical depth and relational expertise. An interesting throughline: he pairs code-era process thinking with human-centered coaching to help clients not just budget, but change behavior.
