Top SchoolSteve Chandler is a Co-Founder and Lead Developer with 14–15 years of experience bridging VFX production and studio infrastructure, designing server-based pipelines, render farms, and low-latency networks for film, animation, live events, and political media. He founded Catalyst Virtual to make Unreal Engine virtual production turnkey and runs Blue Rose Systems consulting on containerized workflows, shared storage, and cost-conscious custom OS tooling for creatives. Steve’s background as a VFX artist and supervisor gives him practical empathy for remote artists’ needs, enabling him to translate creative workflows into resilient, scalable infrastructure. He learned Python on the job to automate repetitive tasks and integrate disparate tools, and he’s built GPU render servers and bespoke stage environments from the ground up. Based in Philadelphia, he combines hands-on hardware deployment with pipeline architecture, often solving collaboration problems that studios didn’t realize they had until production ramped up.
