Senior🎓
Top SchoolSteve Chuang is a senior developer with nearly three decades of deep expertise in IBM mainframe system software design, development, and customer-facing support. He has decades-long experience delivering and enhancing core z/OS components—VSAM, PDSE, UCB handling, DB2 utilities and CDC—often modifying hundreds of assemblers and utilities to support new hardware and performance goals. Known for calm, efficient problem analysis under pressure, he combines hands-on low-level assembly and systems work with strong customer interaction and incident resolution skills. His career includes long tenures at CA Technologies, BMC, and Informatica and he now provides senior engineering leadership at Nextgen Consulting Group. An MS in Computer Science underpins his systematic approach, and a lesser-seen strength is his track record of improving virtual storage usage and runtime efficiency through algorithmic and I/O-path changes. Based in Rancho Cucamonga, he pairs legacy-system mastery with ongoing practical support of modern mainframe integration projects.
