Senior🎓
Top SchoolSteve Stearns is a seasoned GIS Subject Matter Expert and contractor based in Missouri, with over four decades of hands-on experience designing, automating, and administering ESRI and enterprise GIS solutions. His background combines deep systems expertise—Oracle DBA, Solaris administration, and full-stack development—with early-career roots in low-level languages like Assembler, Fortran, and COBOL through modern C/C++ and Java. At AT&T he led GIS architecture, workflow automation, and geodatabase integration for large-scale telephony networks, and he continues that focus at Insight Global. Trained with an M.S. in Computing and a B.S. in Math and Computing, he brings rare cross-discipline fluency that makes complex geo-data systems reliable and auditable. Colleagues rely on his ability to translate legacy system constraints into practical, automated release and operations designs that stand the test of time.
